Odd Grammar Rule

I disagree. Not entirely, big black dog is correct. Black big dog sounds odd. But I'd be fine with "the lovely green French little whittling knife" instead of "the green lovely rectangular French old silver whittling little knife." In fact, use that many adjectives in a row and I'll mark it in red.
